DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!Each year, since 2007, Palma Aquarium celebrates the “Yo También” charity event with the goal of raising funds for various non-profit organizations. This year's event was held over the weekend of November 16 and 17, two special days during which visitors, in addition to enjoying the park, found an extensive program of activities including games, children's entertainment, circus performances, face painting, a magic show, storytelling, a climbing wall, a giant bubble workshop, and a charity raffle with great prizes.
In this edition, the solidarity of more than 150 collaborating companies allowed for the organization of the largest raffle in the history of the marine park, setting records both in prizes and in tickets sold. Thanks to the support of the visitors, a significant portion of the funds was raised through the sale of tickets for this charity raffle, which included more than 550 prizes. Highlights included trips, hotel stays, jerseys signed by players of RCD Mallorca, spa experiences, and many more gifts, all generously donated by the collaborating companies committed to this cause.
This was supplemented by part of the ticket sales, which were specially reduced during those days to promote the maximum possible participation of the citizens and raise funds in favor of the Respiralia Foundation, the entity that works to improve the quality of life of people with cystic fibrosis and to spread knowledge of this disease.
The solidarity demonstrated has not only made this event possible, but it has also produced a very positive outcome for the Respiralia Foundation, which will allocate the profits from the “Yo También” charity event to the “Educar es Salud en Fibrosis Quística” (Educating is Health in Cystic Fibrosis) project. This project offers training in respiratory physiotherapy techniques and effort re-education to 66 girls, boys, and young people who have this disease, so that they can apply the treatment techniques in the most correct and autonomous way possible.
