PortsIB invests over two million euros in improvement works at the Port of Pollença

The total cost of the project is €2,070,638.69, VAT included, with an execution period of 18 months.

Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), under the Conselleria del Mar y del Ciclo del Agua, has formalized the contract for the improvement and reinforcement project of the Port of Pollença. The awarded company, FONSAN GESTIÓN Y CONSTRUCCIÓN, S.L., will be responsible for executing the works with a total budget of €1,967,039.66, VAT included, plus an additional cost of €103,599.03 for waste management, also VAT included, bringing the total to €2,070,638.69.

This improvement project, which has an execution period of 18 months, will commence after the summer season to minimize the impact on port activities during the peak months of visitor influx.

The planned works include the raising of docks and pier supports to enhance their resistance and adapt them to current operational needs, the repair of structural damage caused by erosion and wear, and the replacement of dock plates, renewing the surface elements to improve safety and functionality for users.

These actions are part of PortsIB’s ongoing maintenance and improvement plan to ensure a high-quality and sustainable service. This contract will significantly enhance the infrastructure of the Port of Pollença, ensuring the safety and good condition of its docks.
