PortsIB has initiated the process for the execution of the improvement project at the Port of Pollença, which includes the raising of docks and piles on pontoons, the repair of undercutting, and the replacement of pontoon plates.

This project addresses the urgent need to repair the current undercutting and deficiencies at the docks and pontoons of the Port of Pollença, which pose risks of sinking. Additionally, the structures will be raised to comply with the General Plan of Ports and to adapt to climate change.
The contract will be executed over a period of 18 months, with a summer break scheduled from May 1 to October 31, 2025, to ensure the port's optimal operation during the peak season.
The budget breakdown is as follows: €1,731,499.53 excluding VAT, of which €1,637,318.59 pertain to the tender budget and €94,180.94 to waste management. The annual distributions are as follows: in 2024, €245,850.00 (including VAT); in 2025, €1,405,800.00 (including VAT); and in 2026, €433,104.52 (including VAT).
With this initiative, Ports de les Illes Balears seeks not only to improve the port infrastructure of Pollença but also to ensure the safety, functionality, and durability of the facilities, adapting them to the needs of climate change and ensuring their integration with the environment.
