Specifically, almost a hundred sailors competed in the men's and women's ILCA categories. Among them were the members of the new CNR team in ILCA 4 of the CNR: Laura Fullana, Francisca Puig, Sofia Salvà, Toni Truyols, Luis Ribas and Marc Coll.

In women's ILCA 4, the winner was the sailor from the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, Magdalena Villalonga, followed by María Rosselló (RCNP) and Raquel Conde (RCNP). In the men's ILCA 4, the podium was made up of the sailor from the Real Club Náutico de Palma, Juan Bennasar, Carlos Zendrera (CMSAP) and Xavier Capllonch (RCNPP). It was the last regional qualifying regatta for the ILCA 4 Spanish Championship, which will take place next weekend in Valencia, so that the CNR has decided the team that will represent the Balearic Islands in this national competition.

From Friday to Sunday, the nine races were held, with a 245° south-westerly wind throughout the competition. "On the first day it took a little while for the wind to come in, so only two of the three scheduled races could be held, but on Saturday the programme was restored and four races were held, thanks to very good conditions, with a stable wind of around 11 knots. As for Sunday, we were expecting a strong westerly of 16 to 18 knots, but surprisingly it dropped to around 7-11 knots, quite lumpy. The fleet was very happy with this last race and those selected are now preparing for the Spanish Championship," explains Inés Cabrer, the regatta official, who values the "magnificent work of the great team behind the championship, adapting at all times to the circumstances to make the best possible regatta. It is always a pleasure to come to sa Ràpita to set up and hold dinghy sailing competitions," he concludes.

"From the club, we would like to thank all the workers and colleagues who have made it possible to hold this championship in almost perfect conditions: beacons, arrival team, viewer, race committee,.... We are very proud and happy with the result," says Miki Bover, sports director of the CNR.

Holding this championship at the CNR demonstrates the club's commitment to dinghy sailing in general and the Laser class in particular. "The last ILCA championship we held was the Illes Balears in 2013. We haven't hosted any event in this class for ten years because, until recently, the club didn't have a team in this category. Fortunately, now things have changed and we have a good Laser fleet," explains Miki Bover, sports director of the CNR.
