Registrations open for The Superyacht Cup Palma 2024

Superyacht Cup Palma organizers have opened the doors to entries for the 2024 event, as they look forward to a busy and potentially memorable Mediterranean sailing season.

The race announcement is now available for the June 19-22 race, which will mark the 28th edition of Europe's oldest superyacht sailing festival.

A regular feature of the Mediterranean season, the Superyacht Cup Palma will take place just weeks before the America's Cup in Barcelona; The last time the America's Cup came to the Mediterranean in Valencia in 2007, SYC welcomed its largest entry of 52 superyachts.

“All indications are that it will be a great season in 2024 and we are ready, willing and able to welcome returning yachts and greet each and every newcomer,” said SYC Events Director Kate Branagh .

Among the potential first-time entrants is the 39.4m Halekai Hoek Truly Classic 128 yacht, returning from a world cruise. There is also the possibility of the Swan 100 Onyx and regular attendee Velsheda returning , in what would be a third consecutive appearance for the celebrated J Class yacht.

“Velsheda and The Superyacht Cup Palma seem made for each other, as indicated by numerous repeat visits,” said recently appointed captain Will Gibbon , former first officer of the yacht. "It looks like 2024 could be a pretty special year for the yachting community, so it will be good to be at the center of the action starting next June in Palma," he added.

Kate Branagh added: “It is also wonderful to be able to continue our long-standing collaboration with the prestigious Real Club Náutico de Palma for another year. They will once again be our host and base with more berths available at the RCNP, which is a popular option, therefore which we recommend booking in advance”.
