The concession space is located on the top floor of the APB's institutional headquarters and includes a 400-square-meter terrace with exceptional views of the city of Palma and sights unprecedented for many of its citizens. To the left of the terrace, one can view the architectural ensemble formed by the Cathedral of Mallorca and the Almudaina Palace, and to its right, the bay and port of Palma. In total, an area of 800 square meters is up for tender, distributed over two floors of the building designated for hospitality services.
The concessionaire will be required to provide bar-cafeteria and restaurant services and may propose additional complementary services within the same scope. Additionally, they must adapt the space according to their business model, respecting the architectural composition of the building and ensuring its integration with the rest of the facilities, which include a center for interpreting the port-city relationship.
The annual occupation fee has been set at 67,165.87 euros, while the activity fee is established at 4% of the turnover.
The Port Centre—or Casa del Puerto—is located at the institutional headquarters of the APB in the port of Palma and is a space conceived to strengthen the relationship between the port and the city. A place where the APB promotes dialogue, innovation, and collaboration with all its stakeholders. The purpose of the Port Centre is to share knowledge, generate opportunities, and foster synergies that contribute to building a more dynamic, sustainable, and committed port community.
The APB's institutional headquarters is a neoclassical-style building, constructed in 1940 and listed in the Special Plan of the port of Palma. From that date until 2012, it housed the central offices of the APB. Years later, it was the subject of a comprehensive renovation to become the meeting place for the port community.
