ANEN, Sea-Doo and YAMAHA Marine join forces for the fourth consecutive year under the Disfruta Responsable campaign, with the aim of promoting responsible and safe navigation on a jet ski, respecting the environment, other users and boats.

This platform defends the union between sustainability and sailing to achieve a safe and respectful relationship with our waters, as Sea-Doo explains: "Sailing is synonymous with respect for the marine environment itself, for the rest of the boats and for those users with whom we share the space".

For this reason, they want to give another year's recognition to the jet ski rental establishments that make an effort in terms of safety and environmental protection by means of a quality label that customers can identify and remember that "the freedom offered by the sea should not be underestimated, we must comply with navigation rules that improve coexistence with the environment and safety, both for oneself and for other users", as Yamaha Marine points out.

After an initial pilot phase last season, in which the scope of this award was limited to establishments located in the provinces of Girona, Barcelona, Granada and Huelva, this year Disfruta Responsable is extending the award to the rest of the Spanish regions. "In this way, users will recognise establishments that are firmly committed to safe boating and environmental protection and will be helping to banish the idea that jet skiing is incompatible with respecting and protecting the environment", explains José Luis Fayos, the campaign's coordinator.

Those jet ski rental outlets wishing to apply for the award can submit their application until 15 June, as long as they comply with all the safety and environmental protection requirements set by the platform, such as respecting current regulations, using the right equipment or maintaining a safe, stable and predictable driving style.

In addition to this recognition, Disfruta Responsable offers information, advice and educational resources to promote safe and responsible practices when using jet skis, including respect for navigation regulations, other users of the sea and the protection of marine life, as well as the conservation of aquatic ecosystems.

Knowing the navigation zones and respecting the signs are essential to identify protected areas where respect for marine flora and fauna prevails. In addition, jet skis, among other advantages and functions, can be of great help when spotting injured animals or animals in areas where they do not belong, being able to activate the stranding procedure with a simple call to 112.
