The sailors from the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa, Víctor Pérez and Luca Rosa won the title after two intense days of sailing. Accompanying Pérez and Rosa on the podium were Fabio Bruggioni/André Rosa (RCN Madrid), second and Martín Bermúdez de la Puente/Ángela Pumariega (RCN Madrid/RC Astur). The Miguel López-Dóriga Award, for the skipper with the best score without discarding, went to the Balearic skipper Víctor Pérez.

The RCN Madrid crew formed by Fabio Bruggioni and André Rosa was the one that started dominating the San Isidro Trophy, after winning the first race, followed by Alfonso Oña from Madrid and the Andalusian Teresa Béjar (CN Motril). Víctor Pérez and Luca Rosa started third, but soon imposed their law winning the next two races and taking the lead, with a slight advantage over the rest of the fleet.

Bermúdez de la Puente, teaming up with Olympic champion Ángela Pumariega, followed in their wake with two second places both in the race and in the overall, while Carlos Lizancos (CV Navarra) and Rosa Foruria (CV Valencia Mar) surprised with a third place in the third leg, while Oña and Béjar were third in the fourth.

Everything remained open for the second and final day in which two more races would be held, and where a discard would take place. Pérez and Rosa added two fourths, which allowed them to proclaim themselves champions, while Bruggioni/Rosa had a 10-2 and Bermúdez de la Puente/Pumariega 5-3, the latter two crews finishing tied on 12 points. The day's races were won by Julio Soria/Álvaro Maristany and David and Joaquín Peralta, both from RCN Madrid.

The wind conditions were not easy, with a medium intensity from the west, very strong.
