On Friday, the management team gathered all the participants, a total of 14 teams, to explain the rules and to hand out T-shirts and bags for the catches.

On Saturday, the participants began the competition, catching a total of 152kg of fish. In the competition, Juan Antonio Mari, from the Elena Torres Association, an association for the fight against cancer, stood out, as he received the merit for overcoming and also managed, together with his team, to win the Trophy for the Biggest Piece, as he caught the biggest piece of the whole competition.

The team formed by Marco Caballero, Joan Campins and Carlos Martorell took first place with a total of 31 fish caught, with a Corva weighing 1.4kg being their biggest haul. Second place went to the team of Alex Abato, Toni Terrasa and Sergi Baque, with a total of 30 fish caught, the biggest being a mullet weighing 1.2kg. The podium was completed by the team of Jose Mari Pelaez and Faustino Cortes with 31 catches and another Corvina of almost 1kg as the biggest fish.

Of all the fish caught, 120 kg were donated to the Elena Torres Cancer Association and Caritas. The rest of the catch was used to provide dinner for all the guests at the prize-giving ceremony, which was attended by around 100 people including participants, sponsors, family and friends.

This event, which is organized every year, is growing and attracting more and more sportsmen and women from all over the world. "I would like to thank the Consell Insular de Ibiza, the town hall of Santa Eulalia, the town hall of San Juan and all the sponsors of the event for their help in organizing this special event for Juanan, who deserves to leave his soul for him! He is an example of overcoming his difficulties, our dear Juanan!" added Diego Alcalde Ortiz, president of the Club La Escollera.
