In its twelfth edition, various industry experts will analyze trends and strategies that will prepare and propel the nautical sector in an increasingly competitive and challenging environment.

The first day of the Congress will focus heavily on sustainability, featuring two conferences. José Luis Fayos, chairman of the ICOMIA Sustainability Committee and head of internationalization at ANEN, will reveal key steps already underway towards a greener future with his presentation, "Measure to Improve: Redefining Nautics with Life Cycle Analysis." Additionally, Javier Cervera, president of the Net Zero Sea Alliance, will discuss "Initiatives for Decarbonization."

The commitment to sustainability in nautical-sport facilities will also be a topic of discussion at the congress. Representatives like Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, president of the public entity Ports of the State, and other notable leaders from different ports will share their insights on transforming our nautical-sport facilities into models of sustainability.

The first day will also highlight the nautical industry's transformation driven by a new generation of leaders. Young professionals with strong academic backgrounds and innovative visions are taking on key roles in leading nautical companies. This panel, led by Joaquín Torreblanca, digital director at Forbes Spain, will feature young "under 35" professionals who are emerging as "leaders of the future," sharing their personal and professional experiences.

Xavi Sardà Guasch from Hermanos Guasch; María Lougedo from Touron; and Ione Astondoa from Astilleros Astondoa will share their experiences and visions for the future of nautics.

The second day will start with Gustavo Santana, director-general of the Merchant Navy, introducing the segment "Recreational Nautics within the Framework of the Spanish Maritime Strategy 2024-2050". It will also feature Pilar Tejo, dean of the Official College of Naval and Ocean Engineers, who helped draft the Maritime Strategy.

The day will continue with a session on "Nautical Legislation in Spain versus the European Union, Harmonization and Convergence," exploring new and ongoing regulations in recreational nautics. This discussion will be moderated by Carlos Sanlorenzo, legal advisor to ANEN.

Lastly, Alex Rayón, CEO of Brain & Code, will return to the Nautical Congress to explore how artificial intelligence can open new pathways for the nautical sector with his talk, "Artificial Intelligence – Year 2: What has happened?".
