Sustainability, sport & solidarity: the keys to the success of the Trofeu Alcudiamar - Projecte Home

The Alcudiamar - Projecte Home Balears Trophy returns to the waters of Alcúdia, a charity regatta that aims to raise funds for the "Projecte Jove" of Projecte Home Balears.

Next weekend, the 1st and 2nd of June, the Alcudiamar tourist and marina will host the 4th edition of the charity regatta "Trofeo Alcudiamar - Projecte Home Balears". A competition for ORC/RI cruising yachts, solidarity that has already established itself within the Balearic regatta calendar and that combines competition at sea with social activity on land. 

During the two days of racing, both sailors and visitors to the port will be able to participate and enjoy the different activities that will liven up the Trophy. From environmental and sustainability workshops, such as "Microplastic Watcher" organized by Cleanwave Education, "Paddle and Snorkel for Science" by Mar de Fondo or learning to tie nautical knots with the Alcudia Fishermen's Guild, as well as getting to know the electric sailboat "Galaxie", the dangers facing the Mediterranean from the Palma Aquarium Foundation, boat trips and concerts. 

In addition to fun and sailing, the main objective of this sporting event is solidarity, as the cost of registration in the regatta will go entirely to the charity project "Projecte Jove", which helps young people in the prevention and treatment of addictions.

On Saturday morning, participants in the regatta will be able to register for the first race, which is scheduled to finish at 19:00h.

On Sunday, the sailors will take each other's pulse again from 13h to crown the winners of this Trophy at the end of the second race.
