The 11th Vilás Foundation Regatta to Host 70 Sailors

The 11th edition of the regatta organized by the Ibiza Yacht Club returns to Talamanca Bay on March 29 and 30.

The XI Julián Vilás Foundation Regatta, reserved for boats of the Optimist, Ilca 4, and Ilca 6 classes, is scheduled for March 29 and 30.

The six races planned by the organization, which is managed by the Ibiza Yacht Club, will take place in the waters of Talamanca Bay on Saturday, March 29 at 12:00 PM and Sunday, March 30 starting at 11:30 AM.

Four categories of the Optimist class have been established: sub 16, sub 13, sub 11, and a beginner category for those in their first year of sailing.

About 70 competitors are expected to participate from the following Ibiza clubs: Es Nàutic, Santa Eulàlia Yacht Club, and Ibiza Yacht Club.

Furthermore, the races will take place in the Talamanca beach area and will certainly determine the winners of this 11th edition. This regatta aims to foster a passion for the sport among the younger generation, with sponsorship from the Julián Vilás Foundation and collaboration from the Balearic Sailing Federation.
