The 3rd Creative and Charitable Arroz a Banda Championship warms up with 20 teams registered

There are 20 teams registered who will cook on the central pontoon of Es Nàutic starting at 12 PM. A popular rice dish will be served to benefit Ibiza IN.

The 3rd Creative and Charitable Arroz a Banda Championship, held this Sunday, March 30, at the central pontoon of Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, will see a record participation. A total of 20 teams have registered, three more than at the first edition, which was organized in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the entity and until now had the highest number of participants.

The teams will begin cooking from 12 noon and must deliver a dish to the jury at the time indicated to them, between 2 PM and 2:30 PM. Shortly thereafter, around 2:45 PM, a popular rice dish will be served for 200 diners, prepared by a team from the restaurant Es Nàutic, to benefit Ibiza IN. The price is 12 euros per serving, and tickets can be purchased during the event at the booth of the said association, where homemade desserts and tickets for the raffles that will take place after lunch will also be offered. There is also a quota of tickets that can be reserved in advance by contacting the phone number 657 018 292 via WhatsApp.

In the afternoon, the jury will announce the winning teams, and afterward, the band of Cuban musician Eribertho Cruz will perform a concert of salsa and Caribbean rhythms. Cruz is one of the most prestigious Latin music artists in Ibiza and has performed at the best live music venues on the island, such as the old Teatro Pereyra, and on multiple stages around the world. Some of the best DJs have performed sessions with his percussion and voice as the main ingredient; among them, Roger Sanchez.

The winners of the contest will earn the right to enjoy a paella for eight people at the restaurant Es Nàutic, on the date of their choice within the year 2025 (drinks not included). Additionally, the runners-up will also receive a paella for four people under the same previous conditions, and the third-place winners, a box of wine. There will also be a prize for the team with the best atmosphere and decoration, which will consist of a course for four people in kayaking, sailing, or windsurfing, within the training calendar organized by the Sports Area of the CNSA.
