The vessel, built in Pasajes (Guipúzcoa) for the Norwegian owner Atlantic Offshore and acquired two years ago by the Ministry of Defense, has been serving the Spanish Navy since last summer.
With a length of 66.8 meters and a beam of 16 meters, it has the capacity to rescue 300 people and can perform towing operations with a towing power of 65 tons.
Additionally, the ship is equipped to carry out rescue and salvage operations for shipwreck survivors, combat marine pollution, and conduct naval aviation and replenishment operations.
