The Board of Directors, which held its last meeting in Palma, approved putting out to public tender the management of two facilities for the mooring of pleasure boats in the port of Palma, the commercial operation of the fish market at the Contramuelle-Mollet of the port of Palma, and the extension of the operation of the east dock of the port of La Savina.

This will be the last extension allowed to Puertos y Litorales Sostenible for the operation of the dock for small boats in the port of La Savina. The company Puertos y Litorales Sostenibles is currently occupying and operating this area, after being chosen as the most advantageous solution in 2021 by public tender.

The duration of this latest extension is one year and it is the second one allowed by the current authorisation's specifications. The authorisation of occupation will allow the mooring of 91 recreational boats, from 8 to 24 meters in length.

They have also approved the specifications and operating clauses that must govern the public tender for the granting of a concession to commercially exploit the fish market, located in the Contramuelle-Mollet of the port of Palma.

The fish market at the Contramuelle-Mollet of the port of Palma is once again being put out to public tender after the APB's Board of Directors decided at the same meeting to reject the proposal presented by OPMALLORCAMAR as it did not meet the conditions required in the Tender Specifications.

The duration of the concession will be five years. The annual amount of the occupation fee will be at least 24,000 euros and the minimum activity fee will be five thousand euros per year.

Finally, the Board of Directors approved the bases and operating clauses of the public tenders for the management and operation of two facilities for mooring pleasure craft in the port of Palma. The maximum duration of both concessions may not exceed ten years.

The first facility is located between the Local Traffic terminal or Golondrinas wharf and the Mediterranean pontoon, currently occupied by Marina Port de Mallorca. It covers a total surface area of almost 72,000 square meters between the land area and the water mirror. The annual occupation tax, to be improved, is 950,000 euros. While the activity tax will be 4% of the turnover developed by the concessionaire.

The second concession put out to tender is for the management and operation of mooring posts on the Quarantine pontoon. The space covered by this tender amounts to more than 18,000 square meters of public port area. The annual occupational fee, to be improved, is 350,000 euros and the activity fee will be 4% of the turnover developed by the concessionaire.
