The “Histolab”, in the category ORC 1-3; the “B-First”, in ORC 4; and the “Micanga”, in ORC 5, have been the winners of the Audax Marina Trofeo Hispanidad Regatta that was held this weekend organized by the Real Club Náutico of Palma with the collaboration of the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx.

The departure journey between Palma and Andratx, which was disputed on Saturday, began after a delay on land until midday due to the lack of wind. From 13.15h the wind came from the south-west and then swung to the west, which was maintained until Andratx with peaks of 13 or 14 knots, making it a fairly fast race, which resulted in a rather fast competition.
On Sunday they celebrated the return journey and the departure also started without wind, the Race Committee therefore decided to shorten the course and that the start would be off the Malgrats Islands, which meant a race of about 18 miles. They sailed with an average of eight knots of wind from the southwest at 250º up to Cala Figuera and on entering the Bay of Palma it turned 210º.
In the ORC 1-3 there was a great duel between the local boat “Histolab” and the “Guagaunco IV”, of the Club Náutico de Altea. Both teams finished in a draw by four points, but the final victory was for the crew of the RCN Palma, led by Juan José Torres, because they accomplished the triumph in the crossing between Palma and Andratx.
The “B-First” and the “Merengue V” both teams won one of the two races, but the victory went to the former because Xisco Pou's team finished fifth on the return leg, while on the outward leg "B First" had finished second.
The “Micanga”, of Mateo Grimalt, was the dominant of the ORC 5 category by imposing in the two races. The “Maribel”, of Antonio Arnau, (CN Portitxol) and the “January Sails”, of Gabriel Català, (RCN Palma) accompanied him on the podium.
Next week it will be the turn of dinghy sailing with the Audax Marina Regatta, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, which will bring together more than a hundred boats in the ILCA, 420, Snipe, OK Dinghy, Optimist and 29er classes.
