The Australian boat "Yeah Nah" has won the seventh edition of the Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series. The boat armed by Jan Eckert repeats the title in Mallorcan waters, as it was also the winner in 2023.

Consistency has been the key to the triumph of "Yeah Nah". Jan Eckert's team clearly dominated, winning eight of the 23 races sailed. Not including the two discards, the Australian team scored a total of 67 points, compared to 129 for the second placed team, the Mallorcan "Mr. Nova", helmed by Jorge Forteza.

The podium was completed by the Swedish "Miss Behavior", which was the best boat in this fourth round of the Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series. Jan Secher's crew finished with 132 points, just three points behind in second place.

This fourth round of the Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series had a greater importance for the local fleet, as it was also the Balearic Championship in the Dragon class. The victory went to "Mr. Nova", flying the flag of the Real Club Náutico de Palma.

The twenty or so boats that participated in the Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series had to say goodbye on shore, as the lack of wind prevented any start on the last day of competition.

The start of this Sunday's competition had been postponed until midday in the hope that the weather forecast would not be completely fulfilled, but this was not the case. After 13.00 hours, the Committee verified that there was no wind on the race course and hoisted the Intelligence flag on "A" to inform that no races would be held during the day and that the championship was over.

Mallorca will once again be the meeting point for the Dragon class next month. Some of the best teams in this category will return to Puerto Portals from the 22nd to the 25th of February to compete in the VII Mediterranean Cup, an event that promises to be an exciting end to the season.
