The Balearic Cup for Young Promises postponed due to poor weather forecast

The poor weather forecast for this weekend has forced the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and the Balearic Canoeing Federation to postpone the first test of the Balearic Cup of Young Promises, which was scheduled to take place this Saturday, March 22, in the bay of Portmany. A new date will soon be announced for it to take place at the same location.

Paddlers from all over the Balearic archipelago were to travel to this first test, belonging to the prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, cadete, and infantil categories.

The competition, which would take place between 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM, was set to unfold on a course parallel to the shore of s’Arenal beach and would cover a distance of between 1,000 and 5,000 meters, depending on the category. This venue is a usual scene for the archipelago's paddlers, who typically face some competition in the bay every year. The event is organized in collaboration with the Arenal hotel, where the operational center is established.
