The Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) has definitively published the creation of the Nautical Board of the Balearic Islands, as a body for consultation, debate, and advisory purposes to advise and make recommendations to the Government on nautical matters.
FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES AND RECEIVE UPDATES FROM "PASSION FOR THE SEA"This new dialogue platform focused on nautical activities is composed of representatives from Ports IB; the Balearic Ports Authority (APB); the Directorate General of Merchant Marine; various departments with responsibilities in coastal, water resources, natural environment, and fishing matters; nautical vocational training centers; the National Oceanography Institute; the Spanish Meteorological Agency; and members of different representative entities of the sector, led by AENIB.
According to the BOIB, "it is considered essential to monitor this matter regarding aspects related to the nautical leasing of boats and recreational vessels, recreational nautical schools, nautical sports schools, nautical certifications, profit-making centers for canoeing activities, moorings, buoys, berths, discharges, and regulatory regulation of these matters, as well as all other pertinent issues within this field. In this sense, to have an appropriate advisory and consultation body, it is advisable to create the Nautical Board of the Balearic Islands."
