The Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) has started the consolidation and improvement works on the lower platform of the Cala el Fonduco dock, in the port of Mahón, with the aim of ensuring the durability of the infrastructure and enhancing the safety of the direct management mooring service in the area.

Furthermore, a redevelopment of the road will be carried out with the installation of a new mixed pavement of cobblestones suitable for both vehicular traffic and pedestrians, as well as the provision of the necessary urban furniture for the correct organization of the environment.

The APB has communicated and coordinated the construction plan with the affected residents in order to minimize possible inconveniences and ensure the proper development of the work. With this intervention, the aim is to improve the functionality and safety of the dock, benefiting both the users of the mooring service and the pedestrians and neighbors of the area.

The works, awarded to UTE Moll Cala Fonduco, have a budget of 498,306.16 euros. The duration of the work is expected to be four months.
