We are aware of the value we have and the added value we can offer as a destination. Therefore, thanks to our presence at this nautical fair and the meetings held during these days, we believe we have achieved the objectives we set out to accomplish by coming here. The Balearics and its entire nautical sector have a great opportunity to continue growing and gaining weight in the industry and in the GDP of the Islands.”
For his part, Pedro Suasi stated, “Both the Cluster and the companies from the Balearics present at the fair have done an excellent job. Personally, I have been able to meet with more than 50 representatives from different companies that do not yet operate or work in our Islands. The feelings are very positive, and we believe we can attract them in the near future and establish working synergies that improve the operation of our nautical companies.”
The Balearic Marine Cluster has handed out a commercial action with all the nautical and destination services offered by the Balearic Islands to interested parties. Additionally, it organized its own event attended by over 400 people who were able to taste a series of Balearic products such as Mahón cheese, sobrasada, and Mallorcan wine. In a relaxed and friendly environment, Toni Salom took the opportunity to announce the new dates for the second edition of The Balearic Superyacht Forum, which will be held on April 29 and 30, 2025.
The first international forum of the yachting sector will again bring together regional and international experts along with a select list of VIP guests to discuss the main aspects that will determine the future of the nautical industry in the Balearics. “The goal of this strategic think tank,” Salom noted, “is to reinforce the competitive position of our islands and their nautical business fabric, presenting the Balearics as the most comprehensive region for the yachting sector in all its areas: naval repair and maintenance, nautical tourism, and innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Pedro Suasi, the manager of the Cluster, indicated that “we are working on a dynamic program that includes a wide variety of sessions, presentations, and interactive activities focused on aspects such as innovation, sustainability, the evolution of the nautical maintenance and repair industry in Palma, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the Balearic Islands as an international nautical tourism destination.”
It is noteworthy that this second edition of The Balearic Superyacht Forum will coincide with the start of the Palma International Boat Show 2025 (PIBS), which will also be held in Palma from April 30 to May 3.
The Balearic Marine Cluster has attended this new edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, providing an opportunity for a total of 22 associated companies to have representation at the nautical exhibition. The objective has been to promote the Balearic Islands as a nautical destination, strengthen the image of Balearic Yacht Destination, present a united image of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands, and attract new clients and markets.
