From this Tuesday, 7th of May, until Sunday 12th, the french waters from Cannes and La Grande Motte will concentrate on the attention of the olympic sailing with the dispute of the World Nacra 17 Championship and the European of 470, 49er and 49er FX, that close the calendar of the competitions for these classes before the Olympic Games.

In the European Championship of 470, the Spanish delegation in Cannes is filled with the team made by the sailor of the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, Neus Ballester and Alejandro de Maqua, for whom this championship is classificatory for facing the Olympic Campaign 2028.

The protagonism of the La Grande Motte will be divided between the World Nacra 17 Championship and the European 49er and 49er FX. For what is respected from the World Nacra 17 Championship, Tara Pachecho and Andrés Barrio quill compete against the British Gimson and Burnet, Gold European 2023, and the Italian Tita and Banti, defenders of the title and winners of the Princesa Sofía, last international confrontation of the class that did not have participation in the Olympic French Week.
Támara Echegoyen and the sailor of the Club Nàutic S’Arenal, Paula Barceló retake the competition with the European of the 49er FX after the pause due to an injury of Echegoyen that did not let them participate in the Princesa Sofía and in the Olympic French Week. The Spanish couple, bronze in the European 2023, will be measured with the current silver continental, the italians Germani and Bertuzzi, which were third in the World this year.
As for the regatta programme in La Grande Motte, Nacra 17 and 49er will have Qualifying Series from Tuesday to Thursday to start on Friday with the Final Series, while the 49er FX Open Series will finish on Sunday 12th with the corresponding Medal Races.
