In Nacra 17 , the most solid performers of the day were Italians Gianluigi Ugolini and Maria Giubilei, who distanced themselves from their closest pursuers, Chinese Huancheng Zhao and Su Sha. Canarians Tara Pacheco and Pablo García remain in the battle among the world's top twenty teams, currently ranked eighteenth. Joan Cardona and Nicole Van der Velden also did not compete due to health problems for the Balearic sailor.
