The Andratx Town Council has brought forward the lifeguard service on the beaches of Camp de Mar and Sant Elm, scheduled for the 1st of May, due to the influx of bathers.
DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The lifeguard service has a lifeguard on duty at each of the beaches from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm seven days a week. From the 1st of May the service will be increased to two lifeguards until 18.00 hours.
The councilor for the Environment, Antoni Nicolau, pointed out that the beach lifeguard contract included the option of adding a third lifeguard in the busiest months to guarantee a better service for users, especially those with reduced mobility.
The mayoress, Estefanía Gonzalvo, added that they are aware that the municipality of Andratx has a large influx of both local and foreign users on the beaches and for this reason it is essential to ensure their safety and thus avoid any unforeseen events that may occur, as well as offering the best service to users.
