The breakwater of Eivissa is being prepared to moor vessels during weather alerts

The Balearic Port Authority (APB) is carrying out conditioning work on the breakwater of the port of Eivissa to accommodate vessels in contingency situations.

Due to this action, part of the heel of the port's attached dock has been occupied. Pedestrian access to the breakwater is restricted only at its end.

Currently, floating pontoons and mooring trains are being installed in the shelter of the breakwater for use as temporary moorings during weather alerts. This measure addresses the insufficient shelter available in several areas of the port of Eivissa during contingency situations.

The work is expected to be completed by mid-July. The investment exceeds 500,000 euros, and the company in charge of this operation is Servicios Profesionales Submarinos (SERPROSUB).

The works are being carried out while minimizing the impact on concessionaires, port users, and the general public.
