The candidacy led by Pau Lladó wins the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita elections

The Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita held its elections for the Presidency and Board of Directors of the club this Saturday, 9th of March. The 1153 members with the right to vote were called to participate in the elections, and had to decide between two candidates: the one led by Maribel Soteras or the one led by Pau Lladó.

At 11am on Saturday 9th of March, the Electoral Table was constituted and at 12 noon the ballot boxes were officially opened for the members to cast their votes. A total of 602 club members exercised their right to cast their vote, 349 did so on election day, in person, and 253 voted by registered post.

After the vote count, Pau Lladó, who has been at the helm of the club for the last three years, has been proclaimed president of Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita once again, obtaining a total of 342 votes, while the candidate Maribel Soteras received a total of 260 votes. 

"I would like to thank all the members for their support and trust in me and in the members of my candidacy, the current Board of Directors," said Pau Lladó after the election results were announced. "The turnout has been very high and the results have been very close. We just want to be able to work and I hope that from today onwards, there is no disagreement with the community of club members as we are a big family, we all know each other and harmony and good work must prevail," said the president, adding that for his part "we will continue to work to make the club grow so that everyone feels comfortable and feels proud of this entity".

One of the foundations of the electoral programme of Pau Lladó and his team is to improve the financial management of the entity during his term of office and to generate more quality nautical and social activities. To achieve this, an audit of the club's finances over the last seven years will be carried out. Another of the points on which the JJDD will work conscientiously will be the extension of the club's social building, which will replace the current marquee, being one of the major projects for the future.  This area will include, among other things, a gymnasium and a multi-purpose area for fishing and sailing activities. These sections will also be reinforced and boosted with the arrival of the new team, promoting activities among and for the whole community, including all members.
