The Centre de la Mar, National Reference Center for Nautics of the SOIB, will hold its IV Technical Day on October 30th, aimed at teaching staff, trainers, and professionals in the sector.

This year, the day presents a renewed format that stands out for its practical and participatory approach. In the morning, attendees will be able to enjoy practical workshops, in which leading companies in the sector, Hempel and PropSpeed, will share their latest techniques and innovative solutions. These sessions will take place at the Centre de la Mar facilities, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The workshops are designed to provide industry professionals with the opportunity to interact with experts and learn firsthand about the most advanced technologies in hull treatments, a key area for improving the performance and sustainability of vessels.
In the afternoon, starting at 5 p.m., the day will continue with an online conference that will be streamed. This session, focused on "Hull Treatments," will feature two prominent speakers from the sector: Joan Moret, Area Manager of Hempel Paints, and Jesús González-Llanos, head of PropSpeed in Spain. Both will share their experience and vision on the latest trends and challenges in the field of coatings and treatments for the submerged part of boats, essential to ensure greater durability and efficiency of the vessels.
The conference will last approximately an hour and a half and will be accessible to all interested parties through the online broadcast on the Centre de la Mar's YouTube channel, and can also be attended in person at the Center.
