Once the period of 10 working days to present allegations has ended and the final decision has been published by Puertos del Estado, it is confirmed that the CICERO project of Garau Ingenieros will receive a grant of 294,030.17 euros from the Ports 4.0 programme in pre-commercial mode.

In total, 116 candidates were presented at this announcement, but only 95 were admitted and, of these 30 were suggested to the allocarion of the ayudas del Fondo Ports 4.0. After the publication of this provisional resolution on 2 October, a period of 10 working days was opened to present allegations, a period that ended this week. Once this period has elapsed, it is confirmed that Garau Ingenieros will receive a grant of 294,030.17 euros to continue developing its project.
CICERO has as a goal to improve in their quality of port water and to take away the waters greenish colour, and to enhance the transparency of the water. To accomplish this, they have developed a system that, instead of pumping harbor water out of the harbor, purifies it by removing excess nutrients from the water.
Currently, CICERO has already implemented as a pilot race in some of the nautical clubs and ports of the Balearic Islands, such as Club Nàutic S’Arenal and Puerto de Palma, where they are working on the elimination of the water turbidity without interfering with port operations.
