In this regard, it anticipates hosting more than 30 boats, making it a key meeting point and reference for classic sailing in Spain and the Mediterranean by mid-August.
The regatta maintains the four days of competition that were introduced for the first time last year at the request of boat owners, who wanted an additional day to enjoy racing in the magnificent setting of Palma Bay.
For the second year, the Illes Balears Clàssics is part of the most important classic sailing circuit in the Mediterranean, The Mediterranean Champions Cup, alongside events such as Les Régates Royales de Cannes, Vele d’Epoca Imperia, Argentario Sailing Week, Les Voiles d’Antibes, and Vela Clásica Menorca de Mahón.
The categories invited to participate in the regatta are: Clásicos, Época, RI Clásicos, Espíritu de Tradición, and Grandes Barcos. Additionally, there will be a special section called “Presencia,” which will welcome classic and vintage boats over 50 years old that will be present at the club to enjoy the event without competing in the races.
The Illes Balears Clàssics regatta is also part of the International Mediterranean Championship, organized by the CIM, and the 15th Trofeo Clásicos Mare Nostrum - Copa de España de Vela Clásica 2025.
