On Sunday, four races were held for ILCA 4 and two for ILCA 6 Master, with a force 4 'llebeig' wind that decreased to force 3 as the day progressed.
The event concluded on Sunday afternoon with the presentation of trophies at the club's facilities. The winners of this VI Mestre Rafel Trophy were, in ILCA 6 Master, Emiliano Llinàs, followed by Francisco Javier Jarauta Simón and Bartolomé Albons Montserrat, all of them from the CNP. In ILCA 4, the overall winner was Luis Mulet Pizá (CN Arenal), with Juan Aguilar Coll (CN Cala Gamba) and Marc Femenies Fuster (CN Arenal) completing the podium.
This regatta, like the Optimist and Optimist D regatta of the same name, which held its sixth edition on 9 and 10 September at the CNP, is a tribute to the figure of Rafel Llinàs Vallespir, master of several generations of sailors who created a school in the training of sailors. Deceased in 2019, he trained in his first steps sailors like Jordi Calafat, Olympic champion in 1992 and winner of an America's Cup, or José Carlos Frau, Optimist world runner-up in 1983. In addition, Llinàs was the architect of the Trofeo Mamá Optimist S.M. la Reina, one of the most deeply-rooted regattas of the club, and which is characterized by the fact that all the participants receive a trophy. "These events are very important for the Llinàs family, but also for the whole Balearic sailing world, as my father was a pioneer and a much loved and admired person," says his son, Emiliano Llinàs.
