The board of directors of Club Nàutic Portitxol (CNP), in the context of the club's ongoing concession renewal process, and after the last proposal made to users of the direct management moorings in the Portitxol anchorage was not well received, has announced that it will review this approach.
STAY UP TO DATE OF WHAT WE DO AND RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTERThe club had offered the possibility for the moorings available on the 10 pontoons in the direct management area of Portitxol to come under the direct management of Club Nàutic Portitxol (CNP) rather than being directly managed by the Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB). In a statement, the organization emphasized that at no time was there an intention to modify the existing conditions for these users. However, in view of their mobilization and negative feedback, work is underway to present a new project that better aligns with the club's internal reality in terms of the number of members and its overall scale, including financial capacity, infrastructure, and facilities. It is important to note that the club operates with a small membership base, an outsourced restaurant, training courses, access to nautical sports, and the management of small-boat moorings.
Club Nàutic Portitxol has recently completed the necessary works to maintain the concession extension and is currently using the final year of the granted extension period. At present, the club is working towards securing a new and extended renewal period for the concession from December 16, 2025, provided that the necessary adaptation works requested by APB are carried out.
The club is currently developing this new proposal, tailored to the actual circumstances, with the support of professional technical experts. The project will be presented as soon as possible.
