The Board of Directors, elected in the last elections of Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (CNR), has committed to revitalizing recreational fishing as one of its fundamental pillars. Consequently, several meetings of its renewed Fishing Section have been held, and registration is open for members and interested friends who are not yet associated.

"We intend to go all out to revitalize recreational fishing activity in our club. We are starting from scratch, and our first ambition is to attract more members to the Fishing Section. Currently, we are in the process of enrolling new members, with the intention of forming a large and significant group of fishing enthusiasts," Ferrer declared.
In this period, the fishing section has approved the calendar of fishing tests and meetings to be held for the rest of the year. "This calendar is a provisional first proposal and may be modified based on the club's general calendar and the suggestions and proposals of registered members, as we are open to hearing their ideas," Ferrer emphasizes.
Additionally, as a noteworthy novelty, it was also agreed to hold a fishing-related photo contest towards the end of the year. "Fishermen always like to take pictures of our best catches to show to our friends and family, so we thought it would be interesting to organize a contest to exhibit and share the photos we have taken throughout the year," explains Ferrer.
Similarly, the Section has decided to unify the different fishing groups that have formed into a renewed Records Group, which will expand from 15 members to include all registered members of the Section. This fun initiative consists of about twenty flags representing different species. The member who has caught the largest specimen during the year, based on minimum dimensions, can display the flag on their boat until another fisherman surpasses them, at which point the pennant passes to the new record holder's boat, proudly flying on its mast.
The CNR Fishing Section will have a projected budget of 5,475 euros this year, which may change depending on needs and the number of registrants. The fee for members will be 40 euros, for non-members 80 euros, for members' spouses 25 euros, and for non-members' spouses 50 euros.
