Almost a hundred sailors from different clubs of Mallorca have gathered this weekend in the waters of the Bay of Palma to participate in the CN Arenal Trophy, organized by the Club Nàutic Arenal (CNA) under the auspices of the Balearic Sailing Federation.
FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES AND RECEIVE UPDATES FROM "PASSION FOR THE SEA"Throughout Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of February, the club has hosted races of the ILCA 4 (GM, M, Sr, sub21, sub19 and sub17), IQ Foil (sub23, sub19, sub17 and sub15) and Techno 293 (sub15 and sub13) classes. In which all classes have sailed in a joint fleet in a race course that presented exceptional conditions.
On Saturday, the first of these two days, the start of the trophy has been disputed with total normality and has been marked by a southwest-east wind with an average intensity of between 10 and 12 knots. A total of 3 races per class were sailed, as scheduled in the program. On Sunday, a very constant south-westerly wind of 11 to 14 knots blew, and 3 races were sailed for the ILCA 4 and Techno 293 classes and 5 races in slalom format for IQ Foil. The meeting concluded on Sunday with the trophy presentation at the CNA facilities, in an atmosphere of great camaraderie, sportsmanship, fellowship and passion for sailing.
