The CN Portitxol Prepares for the Mare de Déu del Remei Festivities

The Club Nàutic Portitxol is all set to celebrate a new edition of its traditional Mare de Déu del Remei Festivities, which will take place at the club's facilities from August 4 to 24.

This year's celebrations coincide with the 96th anniversary of the CNP. The 95th-anniversary celebration could not be held as desired due to ongoing construction and improvement projects within the club, negotiated with the Balearic Port Authority (APB) after the club's concession ended in December 2022. “This prevented us from using the CNP esplanade fully, but this year, although the club is still under construction, we can use it,” celebrates Pedro Barceló, the club’s Festivities Representative.

This year's program includes a variety of activities such as recreational, sports, gastronomic, religious, children's, and social events, as shown in the schedule.

The CNP encourages all members to actively participate in these festivities, which aim to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie among the members of this almost century-old club.

“These festivities are a tradition and an unmissable event for all our members, supporters, and friends. After almost 100 years of activity, Club Nàutic Portitxol has become a meeting point for all sea and nautical enthusiasts in all its forms. We look forward to seeing everyone at these Festivities in honor of our Patron Saint,” declares the club's Festivities Representative.

AUGUST 4

11:00 AM - PAPÁ OPTIMIST

All members and accompanying adults are invited to participate in this regatta. Registration at the club offices before August 4.

AUGUST 10

8:00 PM - PAELLA AND FIDEUÁ GATHERING

Members can participate individually, in groups, or with family. Each participant will choose the type of paella or fideuá, bring all necessary ingredients for its preparation, and must register at the club office before August 8. Music will accompany the event.

AUGUST 11

10:00 AM - CHILDREN'S FISHING GATHERING

Catch and release from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration and rules at the Club offices before August 10.

AUGUST 14

9:00 PM - MEMBER'S DINNER

Served by the Club Nàutic Portitxol Restaurant. Different menus to choose from.

• Music by the ELS NAIPES orchestra.

AUGUST 15

11:30 AM - MASS AT THE MARE DE DÉU DEL REMEI PARISH (EL MOLINAR)

8:00 PM - VERGE DEL REMEI MARITIME PROCESSION

Procession on foot from the Molinar parish to the Club Nàutic Portitxol and then by sea to the Club Marítimo Molinar, to be carried back to the Parish.

AUGUST 17

9:00 PM - DINNER IN THE FRESH AIR

• Dinner where each member brings their own food and drinks.
• Members can bring family and friends.
• Table reservations at the Club offices before August 15.
• Music by the AQUARIUS trio.

AUGUST 18

5:00 PM - CHILDREN'S PARTY

Inflatable castles, foam cannon, and water games. Open to everyone. All are welcome.

AUGUST 24

FISHING GATHERING

Free departure time, arrival by 12:30 PM. The catch must be cleaned, and it will be used to prepare a fish rice dish.
