The CNP lays out the foundations for its future and clarifies the situation of the moorings dependen

The Club Nàutic Portitxol (CNP) wants to remind what exactly is the situation of the moorings dependent on the Balearic Port Authority (APB) in the process of renewing the concession in which the club is immersed.

The Portitxol roadstead comprises a space with approximately 750 moorings for small lengths (90% of the boats do not exceed 8 meters in length, with the most common being boats between 5 and 7 meters) which have been managed so far in two ways: a part by the Club Nàutic Portitxol and the rest are approximately 400 moorings under direct management dependent on the Balearic Port Authority.

The Club Nàutic Portitxol (CNP) has recently completed the planned land works and is currently exhausting the last of the annuities that were granted as an extension for the exploitation of the concession, and from December 16, 2025, it would be granted 15 years of concession, provided that some works are carried out to adapt to the new needs and a change of location of the current boatyard.

To assess the continuity and continue managing this concession, CNP is studying the possibility that the moorings available on the 10 pontoons present in the direct management area of Es Portitxol could come to depend directly on the Club Nàutic Portitxol (CNP) and not be managed directly by the Balearic Port Authority (APB). This is what the club has proposed to the APB.

Of course, the club has held informational meetings with the direct management users who wanted to attend to inform them of the possible options they could take, in case the Club decides to include them in the project to be presented next March to the APB.

These options are the following:

A- Maintain their boats in the facilities assuming the rates that the APB sets at all times, with the conditions reflected in their current contracts.

B- Become a member of the Club Nàutic Portitxol - with its rights and obligations - respecting the right to mooring recognized in their contract with the APB. The current entry fee for membership is 6,000 euros, which could be paid in various installments. This option includes free stay in the boatyard (currently 25 days in low season), in addition to special prices in the club's restaurant and sports activities, such as sailing and canoeing.

The CN Portitxol reminds that it is a non-profit entity whose economic resources generated are entirely reinvested both in the improvement of its facilities and in its sports activities in general, and at no time in the conversations held with the APB for the extension of its concession, has the club been told that it must take over the direct management of the moorings.
