The Copa Federación Neobookings crown the best sailors of ILCA of the Balearic Islands

From the 20th to the 22nd of October has been contested at the bay of Portmany, by the organization of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (CNSA), the Copa Federación Neobookings of ILCA 4 and 7, in which a total of 107 sailors participated from different nautical clubs of the Balearic Islands.

This Copa Federación Neobookings has been the first of three autonomic classificatory races planned for the season 2023-2024 for the ILCA class and has been competed with hard weather conditions.

On Friday the 20th, the strong wind dominant throughout the journey did not allow the fleet to depart so the races were canceled. On Saturday, already with less intensity, but with a wind between 15 to 20 knots and a lot of groundswell, the regatta committee accomplished, with many difficulties, an outing for the two races, and one more for the girls, in the ILCA 4 class. Yesterday Sunday, with a complete change of weather, it made it possible to complete the program and end all the classes with 5 races and one dismissed.

After completing the five score sheets, in ILCA 4 woman’s the three first qualified were María Roselló (RCN Palma), Magdalena Villalonga (RCN Puerto Pollença) and Lucía Cardona (CN s’Arenal). In ILCA 4 mens the podium was for Juan Bennasar (RCN Palma), Carlos Zendrera (CMSAP Can Pastilla) and Joan López (CNSA). In ILCA 7, the leaders were Karol Krupski and Mario Plomer from the CV Puerto d’Andratx, and last being Tim Lubat from RCN Palma.
