During this reunion,  the representatives of the sector have put on the table the measures that, in their view, should be promoted for the benefit of recreational boating in the Balearic Islands. "It has been a first contact, in which the councilor has told us his willingness to listen to the needs of the sector," said Vaquer and Carrasco, who added that "the parties have urged each other to share information and maintain maximum collaboration, agreeing to maintain contact soon to address in more detail the situation of the sector and the actions to be taken to promote it”.

Also, it has been addressed the possibilities of the organization in Palma the General Assembly of the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) in 2025.

On the other hand, the representatives of the sector have presented to the council an elaborate proposal next to the European Boating Industry (EBI) to to move to the European Commission and the Secretary of State for Tourism. This proposal is related to the organization of the European Tourism Forum to be held in Palma, and for which the sector requests the inclusion of nautical tourism on the agenda of European Tourism Ministers as one of the key issues.

“We have had the opportunity to expose the current panorama of the sector in Spain and the special situation in the Balearic Islands, its big potential and circumstances that make it hard the day to day for the companies of the sector and the users”, says Jordi Carrasco. “At this point, we have given a summary of the possible measures and projects to work on for the next four years and we have given in a brief report about the situation, with analysis of the problems and measures to resolve them”, he explains.
