The Furry Ones Take Over Port Adriano

Port Adriano continues to thrive with its calendar of cultural, sports, music, and gastronomic activities for the whole family. On this occasion, sport and solidarity will invade this exclusive marina with the celebration of the IV Doggie Race.

Next Saturday, October 19, pets will be the stars of this dog race for a charitable cause: raising funds for the Peluditos de Son Reus Association. Indeed, the registration fee for the race will go entirely towards obtaining better resources, treatments, and finding new owners for the foster dogs.

This sporting event, though non-competitive, covers a 2 km course within Port Adriano and can be completed either by running or walking, and all participants will receive a prize upon reaching the finish line.

In this way, humans and canine pets will all run together as a family, with the main goals of raising awareness about the importance of having a pet and making the municipality of Calvià more Pet Friendly each year, where pets are gradually accepted in more public places and green spaces designated for them are created.

In addition to the race, the Canine Service of the Civil Guard will show how their dogs work, with an Agility workshop and other activities related to the canine world thanks to the collaboration of the Dogma store.

And as a finale, a magnificent dog parade will be held by the Peluditos de Son Reus Association to promote dog adoption.
