Other than the five tickets for the Olympic Games, the Spanish canoeing team has around its neck a total of nine medals (2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze).

Among the paddlers with medals is found the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, Joan Antoni Moreno, who also has been crowned champion of the world at the C4 500 with his colleagues Adrián Sieiro, Pablo Graña and Manuel Fontán, subchampion of the world C1 200, both disciplines not olympic, thanks to a great race that was decided at last minute. The Majorcan was just a few tenths of a second away from winning the first gold medal for the Spanish delegation, but Moreno is "happy for the work done. It's an important prize", he said.

The K4 majorcan Marcus Cooper, and his colleagues Saúl Craviotto, Carlos Arévalo and Rodrigo Germade did not achieve to revalidate their title after a very complicated day where they suffered a delay of more than three hours due to the weather conditions that whipped up on the Germain track. A seventh place finish leaves a bitter taste as the goal was to be on the podium, but has served to ensure the team's presence in Paris 2024.

At C4 500, the paddler of the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, María de los Ángeles Moreno, and her companions Claudia Couto, Valeria Oliveira and Antía Otero, who have defeated in their series, have gone directly in the fight for the medals disputed this Sunday 28th of August.

In paracanoe, Spain has accomplished to get 4 places in the Paralympic Games, one of them will be possible for the paddler of the Real Club Náutico of Palma, Adrián Castaño, who has been classified in the fourth position in the world semifinal of the category KL1 200 and maintains possibilities to obtain the direct passport to the Paralympic Games for Paris 2024.
