The kick off of the 41 Copa del Rey MAPFRE is the beginning of the schedule of the week

The Club Nàutic S’Arenal and the Caló Surf School continue every Friday with their competition of Es Caló Wind Series, a circuit of 8 races which will be contested until the 11th of August. And on Wednesdays the cruise ships have an appointment with the North Sails Summer Series, where they will compete in 10 tests until the 16th of August.

Furthermore, this following Thursday 3rd of August there will be a talk at the facilities of the Club Nàutic S’Arenal about mapmakers and majorcan sailors among the years of 1300 and 1500, “Let's sail together to the medieval Majorca”.

Also on Wednesdays and Thursdays they will continue to have the Sunset Market at Puerto Portals. This is the ninth edition of this traditional summer market and you will be able to visit twenty stalls of design, fashion, accessories and decoration, and you will also be able to enjoy live music.

The lovers of the sea and paint will be able to visit the Club Náutico of Ibiza at the exposition of “Els colors de la mar”. The exposition will be in the facilities of the club until the 14th of September.

Moreover, Blue Marina will organize a cleaning day of the seas this Saturday 29th of July. An outing which collaborates with the sailing school with the materials of SUPs and kayaks so that the participants can pick up waste from the sea and from nearby beaches of the coastline.

But the emotion starts at the weekend with the initiation of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE. This important date of the international sailing calendar will locate Majorca once again as the epicenter of the nautical world during the following week.
