However, the Race Committee, chaired by Pedro Reyes, managed to take advantage of the slightest opportunity to hold a race. The two middle days, in contrast, were full racing days. Friday, February 7, saw four races, allowing for the Final Series to take place over the weekend, with three races on Saturday and a final one on Sunday to determine the overall, U21 Women’s, U19 Men’s, and U19 Women’s podiums.
On the first day, Murcian sailor Sergio López (RCR Cartagena) and Andalusian sailor Eduardo Orihuela (CN Sevilla) finished as leaders after a day of very weak wind. From the second day onward, thanks to wind blowing at an average intensity of 11-12 knots, Lara Himmes took control, scoring three second-place finishes and a first, discarding a 17th-place finish, which gave her a comfortable lead going into the Final Series. The only sailor keeping close was Tim Lubat of Real Club Náutico de Palma, with two firsts, a second, and a third, discarding a 13th place. Isabel Hernández also made a strong bid for the podium, posting solid results, including a first, a third, a fourth, and a fifth place.
During the Final Series, only Himmes managed to hold her lead with a third and a first-place finish, while Lubat and Hernández struggled, finishing 17th and 12th, respectively, which widened the gap between them and the leader. On the final day, a second discard was applied, and with just one race left, Himmes secured the absolute championship title, also discarding an eighth place. Lubat and Hernández finished 41st and 47th, discarding those results as well, confirming the podium positions.
With this victory, Lara Himmes, who had already been the Spanish women’s champion in 2024, retained her title in 2025, and also claimed the absolute championship title. She was joined on the podium by Isabel Hernández (RCN Gran Canaria) and Adriana Castro (RCN Torrevieja). The U21 Women’s Spanish Championship title went to Castro (RCN Torrevieja), while the U19 Men’s and Women’s titles were claimed by Tim Lubat and Irene de Tomás (RCN Valencia), respectively.
In the men’s category, Tim Lubat of Real Club Náutico de Palma was crowned champion, with Catalan sailors Miguel García and Joan Fargas, both from Club Nàutic Cambrils, joining him on the podium.
Regarding the Balearic representation in the competition, another Real Club Náutico de Palma sailor, Sergio García, came close to the podium, finishing fourth overall in the men’s category. Carlos Zendrera of Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa became the U17 men’s runner-up, while Marga Perelló of Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita claimed bronze in the U21 women’s category.
