Currently, the Special Plan for the Port of Ibiza is being processed, which conditions and prevents the calling of a tender for the granting of a concession, with long terms of 20 to 30 years that would allow for the amortization of the significant investments required by this facility.
Specifically, the reorganization of land and water spaces, the complete renovation of maritime infrastructures and land buildings, in such a way that the quality of the services provided at this facility is improved.
For this reason, the APB is forced to call a tender for the authorization of space occupation for a maximum term of three years. It should be noted in this regard that the processing of the Special Plan is very advanced, so its approval is expected to occur in a short period of time.
The purpose of this tender is to choose the most advantageous solution for the granting of an administrative concession for the management and operation of a plot of ninety-seven thousand square meters, of which forty-three thousand square meters correspond to land area, on which a series of buildings intended for commercial uses, a service station for the supply of fuel to recreational vessels, and an area designated for dry docking and repairing vessels are erected.
Furthermore, more than fifty-four thousand square meters of water surface area are contemplated, in which mooring service is provided to 432 vessels distributed across five pontoons. The annual fee for occupation will be 2,215,013.76 euros and the activity rate is set at 4% of the turnover.
