The 'Nàutic Café del Mar' Finishes Second in the Diana de Oro Trophy in Denia

The 'Nàutic Café del Mar' continues its preparations for the Copa del Rey de Vela with outstanding results.

After two days of racing in the Denia area last weekend, the boat from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (CNSA) secured second place overall in the LIII edition of the Diana de Oro trophy, which is a qualifying event for the ORC Spanish Cup.

The team was once again composed of ILCA sailors from the club, including María Torres, Julia Ramón, Laura Cardona, Víctor Bonet, Javier Marí, and Jaume Llorens, accompanied by coaches Felipe Cornet and Javier Rabelo. The crew reached the podium after tackling a 60-mile coastal race, which took them ten hours, sailing in two legs with wind intensities between 15 and 22 knots. After the race, the boat headed to Alicante for the next regatta. The team focused on making adjustments to the sails to optimize the boat for the Copa del Rey, which takes place in Palma de Mallorca at the beginning of August.

It is worth recalling that, last June, the 'Nàutic Café del Mar' was crowned champion in the RI3 class of the XXVII edition of the Costa Azahar Regatta, held in Castellón, with the same crew.
