Since its constitution as an Innovative Business Grouping last May, Balearic Marine Cluster (BMC) has only strengthened its objective of supporting companies in the sector in a priority area such as innovation. This fact is evident in the launch of this new service, as explained by Toni Salom, president of the association, during the inauguration of the event.

The Technical Office of the Balearic Marine Cluster has as a goal to cheer their support to companies in the sector in various areas, such as quality, innovation, sustainability and governmental procedures, including applications for grants and subsidies. This initiative has been applauded by the organization's members, who assure that this service will be of great use in driving the sector towards the forefront of innovation.

Currently, the office offers a total of fifteen services and counts with the Pool de Proveedores, composed by 10 highly qualified consultancies, in which Balearic Marine Cluster will outsource part of the services requested by the companies if required, after receiving primary assistance from the association itself. All these services and suppliers can be consulted through the Balearic Marine Cluster webs

The Regional Secretary for Innovation and Digital Society, Antonio Carmona, praised the outstanding role of BMC as the first cluster to provide this service to its associates. He also highlighted the importance of clustering to boost innovation and promote the growth of companies.

The program included two round tables with the participation of 6 of the 10 companies that make up the pool of suppliers of the Technical Office.

The first round table, entitled "Success stories related to innovation", was moderated by Toni Viader of Auren Consultores and included the participation of Bartolomé Arrom of ClarkeModet; Roberto Orts Cuevas of Herrero & Asociados and Felipe López of Zabala; who discussed topics such as the importance of patents and trademark registration.

The second and last panel was moderated by Lucía Mingot from Astilleros de Mallorca, under the title "Environmental regulations and trends", Susana Doménech from Grupo Daphnia, Pilar Ramírez from Site 5 and Toni Viader from Auren Consultores, talked about sustainability reports by companies and their obligatory nature before the administrations.
