The Mallorcan company, directed by Juan Company, has won the tender to renew the Spanish Navy's fleet of training and regatta sailing boats, being the best economic offer, with a total budget of 2.5 million euros.

These 8 boats, which measure 10 meters in length, have a maximum displacement of 3,500 kilos, a draught of 1.95 meters, a maximum keel weight of 1,400 kilos, a 50 liter drinking water tank, a 14 horsepower engine, two cabins, a toilet and a set of mixed-use sails, will be built by the American shipyard J. Boats and delivered within 14 months.

The J/99 model allows both recreational and competitive sailing and has already been tested in regattas. According to Navy sources, the J/99 can contribute to "increase the presence of ENM students in regattas such as the Copa del Rey and increase the level of participation in local competitions with a competitive unit".
