The Navy will deploy this Group, of a markedly amphibious and naval air nature, within the framework of the Alliance's deterrence and defense strategy with the aim of increasing its preparation of forces for the NATO Readiness Initiative (NRI) or integration into allied deployments.
This deployment will also serve to carry out naval activities both within NATO and bilaterally with allied and friendly countries and consolidate the momentum acquired by these deployments over the past year, 2023, and continue to demonstrate Spain's commitment to its allies.
