The Group will consist of all the vectors that make up a naval power projection force on land: amphibious ships type LHD and/or LPD with an embarked Marine Infantry force of reinforced battalion size and a complete role 2 medical unit, F100 and FFG frigates, embarked fixed-wing aviation, tactical transport helicopters, and a combat supply ship.
These deployments will also serve to showcase the Navy's capability to lead and project an expeditionary force in and from the sea and, where applicable, to integrate and interoperate with other units or groups from other Alliance countries.
Furthermore, the "Dédalo" deployments will continue to strengthen the image of the Armed Forces in the international context and highlight the strategic relationship and close collaboration of the Navy with the National Defense Industry, as all deployed units are domestically built and feature a high percentage of Spanish technology in their equipment and systems.
The first two deployments will be before summer, while the third will start from September.
