The Ocean Power Watersports Photography Awards collects the best images of the year

The Ocean Power Watersports Photography Awards is back for the third consecutive year with the desire to continue to give visibility and promotion to all those passionate about photography in the field of water sports.

The competition was launched in 2021 to great acclaim from the international community of photographers, with more than a hundred photographs submitted from all corners of the world, including the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Portugal, for a total of fifteen nationalities. Again, in the 2022 edition, the reception was similar, demonstrating the great interest of both professional and amateur photographers.

With a total of 3,500€ in prizes and eleven categories available in the water sports section and five in the special section, the winners will be announced on 2nd of December 2023 at a gala that will bring together the great promises of sports photography.

The jury, made up of professionals from the world of sailing, nautical journalism and experts in audiovisual communication, will evaluate all the photographs submitted during the open period, which will run from 15th of August to 6th of October, and will announce the list of finalists on the 27th of October.

In addition, in parallel to the official competition categories of the Ocean Power Watersports Photography Awards, the competition will have a special section in which anyone, whether a photographer or not, can submit their photographs taken with any digital device and they will be subject to popular vote through social networks, specifically the official event page on Instagram, with the most votes awarded at the ceremony gala.
