The paddlers from Es Nàutic return with 14 medals from the 29th Volta a les Illes Malgrats

Calvià was the scene of the fourth and final race of the season of the Balearic Sea Kayak calendar, with the 29th Volta a les Illes Malgrats taking place.

A total of 22 paddlers from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni participated in this last regatta, obtaining a significant haul of medals, with a total of fourteen, half of them gold, another five silver, and two bronze.

The competition, organized by the Calvià City Council and the Balearic Canoeing Federation, started from Santa Ponça beach, with a turning point at the Illes Malgrats and return to the starting point. The course was eight kilometers long, which was reduced to 3,000 meters for the children, also with the start and finish on the same shore.

The gold medals were awarded to Raúl Prendes-Ilhan Velasco (SS2 Men Senior), Toni Llorens-Sigifredo Felipe (SS2 Men Cadet), Iciar Solé-Carla Costa (SS2 Women Cadet), Facundo González (SS1 Men Cadet A), Valentina Rodríguez (SS1 Women Cadet A), Lara Ribas (SS1 Women Children B), and José Luis González (SS1 Men Veteran 50-54).

Silver medals were received by Álvaro Rubio (SS1 Men Junior), Roy Kikozashvili (SS1 Men Cadet A), María Gallego (SS1 Women Cadet A), Gabriela Mendes (SS1 Women Children B), and Neus Mateu (SS1 Women Veteran 55-59). Finally, the bronzes were won by Alexander Manzanares (SS1 Men Sub23) and Laura Rubio (SS1 Women Children B). CNSA was third by clubs, after the Real Club Náutico de Palma and the Club de Vela Port d’Andratx.

The Canoeing section of Es Nàutic will close the season on September 7 and 8, participating in the Spanish Sea Kayak Championship, which will take place in Vila Joiosa (Alicante).
