Yesterday, Sunday, February 23, the twenty participating boats completed three additional races, which took place under a northeast wind that lost strength as the day progressed. In the first race, gusts reached 16 knots, but in the second they decreased to 12 knots and in the third dropped to 10. Rain also made an appearance at some point in the day, although it was not an impediment to carrying out the races normally.

The competition began shortly after 11:00 a.m. 'Easy' came out strong in the first race, achieving a partial victory. 'Basic Logic', its main rival for the day —since both teams reached the final separated by just one point— couldn't keep up and ended crossing the finish line in fourteenth place.

This result allowed 'Easy', with a crew composed of Michael Zankel, Diogo Pereira, and Joao Matos, to take the lead in the classification. In the next two races, the Portuguese team defended their lead with strict marking on 'Basic Logic', crossing the finish line just behind the Austrian boat in both, which secured their final triumph in the VIII Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series. 'Basic Logic' had to settle for second place, while 'Galant' from Jan Strombeck completed the podium.

In addition to 'Easy', which won the first race, the winners of the other two races were the Mallorcan 'No Name' from Javier Chacártegui and the Danish 'Monick' from David Holm, who took advantage of the intense fight between the leaders to claim a victory each. Although they did not win any races on February 23, the best team in this fourth round of the series was 'YeahNah' from Jan Eckert.

Overall, the assessment of the VIII Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series is very positive, both from a sporting and economic perspective. Over four months in the low season, 21 races were held, and the 24 participating teams, from various European countries, generated a significant economic impact, benefiting sectors such as hospitality, car rental, and food services in Calvià.

Although the series has ended, the Dragon class races in Puerto Portals continue, as the eighth edition of the Mediterranean Cup will be held from March 20 to 23. This competition will also be the occasion to celebrate the awards ceremony of the VIII Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series, capping off an exciting season for this category of classic boats, which continues to arouse great enthusiasm.
